Gideon Rachman’s excellent article (Opinion, April 28) identifies silver linings from Covid-19 at the UN on resolving conflicts. However, the UN’s wider, geopolitical performance is more mixed. The organisation has shown itself unable to deliver a co-ordinated global response to what the UN secretary-general has termed the biggest global crisis since 1945.
