Nancy Kwak is an associate professor in the departments of History and Urban Studies & Planning at UC San Diego. She has published books and articles on housing affordability, homeownership, gentrification, urban renewal, and transnational urban planning. She is now working on a study of agriculture and food production in Southern California, as well as finishing a broader comparative study of global urban informality.
