Katelynn Vogt

Katelynn Vogt is the vice president for communications at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. In this role, she leads Carnegie’s communications strategy and the website, design, outreach, digital, and publications teams. 

She previously served as communications director at Carnegie, where she managed external relations, communications outreach strategy, and congressional engagement. She also oversaw media relations, digital media, and events. 

Prior to her roles at Carnegie, Vogt served on staff in the U.S. House of Representatives for more than a decade. Most recently, she was deputy chief of staff and communications director for a senior member of the House Committee on Appropriations. Vogt also advised the representative in his role as the chairman of the House Democracy Partnership, which works with emerging democracies to develop more effective legislatures. Earlier, she also served as senior legislative assistant for a member of the House Intelligence Committee, advising him on foreign affairs, trade, and defense issues. 

Vogt has a bachelor of arts in international relations from the University of Delaware and a master of business administration from North Carolina State University. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two sons.
