Zelensky’s First 100 Days: A Report Card on Ukrainian Reform

Amid a swirl of U.S. domestic political turbulence centered on Ukraine, precious little attention is being paid to the Ukrainian domestic reform agenda. Please join the Carnegie Endowment for a timely discussion about the progress that has been made during President Volodymyr Zelensky’s first 100 days in office and the daunting issues that are yet to be confronted.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Oksana Markarova, European Commission Deputy Director General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations Katarína Mathernová, and Ukraine’s representative to the IMF Vladyslav Rashkovan will address the domestic and international components of the reform process.

Oksana Markarova

Oksana Markarova has served as the Ukrainian Minister of Finance since November 2018 and served previously as First Deputy and Deputy Minister of Finance.

Katarína Mathernová

Katarína Mathernová is the Deputy Director General for Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR) at the European Commission, where she focuses on relations with the Eastern Partnership countries, international financial institutions, and migration/refugee issues.

Tymofiy Mylovanov

Tymofiy Mylovanov has served as the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine since August 2019. Previously, he served as the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine.

Vladyslav Rashkovan

Vladyslav Rashkovan is the Alternate Executive Director on the Board of the International Monetary Fund where he represents Ukraine and fourteen other countries.

Andrew S. Weiss is the James Family Chair and Vice President for Studies at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.
