The Space-Nuclear Nexus

2009 Carnegie International Nonproliferation ConferenceIMGXYZ1203IMGZYX ASAT tests by China and the United States in 2007 and 2008 have clarified satellite vulnerabilities. This panel considered the nexus between space and nuclear issues, particularly the implications of space warfare capabilities on nuclear force postures. The panel also considered new diplomatic initiatives for space.
